Antenatal & Postnatal
Our Practice offers a full antenatal and postnatal care service to our registered patients. Your care will be shared between the Midwife, the Doctor and the hospital. Antenatal Clinics are held at the Ogmore Vale Community Clinic.
Family Planning
We also offer a range of contraceptive services as part of our Family Planning services:
- General advice on ALL forms of contraception
- Advice on the oral contraceptive pill
- Depo-Provera contraception injections
- Mirena or contraceptive coil devices
- Contraception implants
Cervical Cytology
Most ladies in our Practice take advantage of this test. Regular three-yearly tests are advised, and reminders are sent out. The simple procedure is carried out by the Practice Nurse and helps to detect cancer at the neck of the womb at an early and treatable stage. Whether your test is normal, or abnormal, we will let you know the result of the test and advise on further tests or treatment required.
When you are making an appointment for a smear test, please let the receptionist know so that an appropriate appointment can be given.
