Medical Services Available at the Practice
We aim to provide the best possible care to our patients in a friendly but professional environment and recommend that you make the most of the services available to you at the Surgery.
Medical Consultations
Patients who are registered with the Practice can see a Doctor or Nurse if they are ill or believe themselves to be ill. You have the right to see any of the Doctors, but may specify your preference if you wish so please advise the receptionist when booking your appointment.
Sick Children
It is our Practice policy to ensure that sick children are seen as soon as possible if brought to the surgery. This is often quicker than a home visit. If you are in doubt about whether to bring your child to the surgery, the please telephone us and the Doctor will advise accordingly.
Regular Health Checks
The Practice advises all patients between 16 and 75 years of age who have not attended a consultation or clinic within the past three years to make an appointment for a health check. All patients who are aged 75 and over are advised to have an annual health check. A home visit will be made if the Doctor considers the patient’s medical condition deemed it inappropriate to attend the surgery.
Other Services
As well as providing General Medical Services, our two Doctors and highly trained Practice Nurse provide numerous other services such as chronic disease management clinics, childhood and travel vaccinations, wound and ulcer management, cervical smears, and suture removal and ear syringing.
